Back before I did comics, I played video games. All the damned time. My first 15 minutes of fame was on alt.games.mk. When I lived in PA, this was home:

My best UMK3 games were here, my love for World Class Bowling was born here, and when I think of South Park the pinball game, I'll always think of this place. We miss you, Playland.

*lights a candy cigarette and silently stands at attention for the 21 light-gun salute*

Splatterhouse, Hat Trick, Diet Go-Go, Track & Field, Donkey Kong (and the rest of the Graveyard Room), Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo!!!... that trivia game near the front door... and possibly The Filthiest Toilet in State College... LOL.

My eternal apologies to the guy who beat me at UMK3 did Cyrax's Friendship - which (the Friendship) I hated so much that I turned around and walked out purely on that basis... :P

A bit bummed not to catch a glimpse of Jeremiah in the video :) , but I'm not complaining. It's still damned good. Dammit. R.I.P., Playland.

I have very fond memories of the arcade on the beach at Cape May, NJ. I didn't play many video games (I was a skee-ball man, my dimes and quarters pretty much all went there) but I liked watching other people play video games when I didn't have the cash to roll those wooden balls.

I still have one of the prizes I won with those skee-ball tickets. Happy happy 80s memories.

Indeed!

I spent a lot of time and money in STROMBECKERS in barrack St, Perth. Those were the days, and I've been in Hog Heaven after rediscovering MAME and the Roms it runs.

I was never really good at Ski Ball. I'd actually stand and watch skeeball players rack up the tickets in awe. :)
