Why is it that every time I get ready to sit down and make a backup of the system, THAT'S when it decides it'll simply stop booting into Windows/Crash the filesystem/corrupt all my data?

What's sad is I have some DVD-Rs I bought specifically to ghost the file system that I bought in October, that have never been used. I havent made a successful backup of my system since November. I have, however, managed to reinstall Windows about 12 times....

It's called "Murphy's Law".

(And I know how you feel. That's why I put together a rather comprehensive backup system for the home network... just in case. :-) )

I hear ya! The day I decided to back up all the work on my external harddrive was the day it fell off my table for some reason and left all the data unrecoverable. Also, I had bought DVD-Rs specifically for that function. Ah well...3 years down the tube.
