The fact that there is no longer any chance of new MST3k episodes being shown is one of the strongest arguments I know of for ditching television altogether.
Seriously.
Sometimes I debate the idea with people, and they say, "But, television is a wasteland!" which I used to counter with MST3k. Now, I just say, "Yeah, ever since MST3k was canceled, yeah...pretty much."
You might like to know that Mike Nelson works for a service called RiffTrax that makes audio tracks for movies, pretty much doing just what he was doing on MST3k. Some of the tracks even have some other people from the show such as Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo), Bill Corbett (Crow).
I haven't gotten any yet myself, but several people I've heard from who have say its almost like MST3k is back on, only this time making fun of modern movies (Star Wars Epiosde II: Attack of the Clones, for instance, one I'm thinking about getting).
Mr. B Natural is, aside from being creepy, a goddamn liar. Any artist will tell you it takes a shitload of work to be good, you can't just "Be natural!" and sound like you know what you are doing.
Or maybe I've got it all wrong and all I need to do is stop trying, and I'll automatically become awesome.
