I've shut the Dolari.net forums down. There were only two users who actually used it, and something along the line of 40 new spam users a day, even with all the spam protections on. It's more of a chore than fun anymore, so off it goes.

In fact, I'm getting tired of spam all around, and have considered shutting down the dolari.org and dolari.net email accounts, so that I can call up the spam providers and tell them to add dolari.everything to a blacklist and I won't have to deal with the not-so-occasional 500+ mail spike from spam bouncebacks. I'm the only one who uses it, I'm the only one who gets the spam bouncebacks and I'm the only one who ends up waiting 5 minutes to see my mail.

I hate hate hate hate spam. I hate the commercialization of the Internet, period. It's taken something that was fun, and made it a maze of LET ME SELL YOU SHIT.

Didn't even know they were still up in the first place -- last time I was there (several months ago), it said something to the effect that it was closed due to lack of interest.

While it's fun taking part in forums, it's nerve-wracking to run your own forum or guestbook, especially since there are spammers looking for more opportunities to spread their crap.

I should know -- I had guestbooks for my "Mundane Circus" and "Rugrats Online" sites, but closed them both down when they became spam depositories. Especially those who feigned interest in your site, only to leave links for drugs.

Spammers are criminals first, last and always.

Where have you two been? I posted that they were up and running here on Livejournal, and they were at the very top of the page on both comics for a month....

That was the old EZBoards forum. The new forum was advertised for a month on my website, and posted here when it went online. Big bold letters, too.

I guess I fail at noticing stuff, then.
