It's very funny to see Hugh Laurie being completely and totally and hilariously funny in Blackadder after all these years, since the last few years have had him just being just an asshole in House. :)

Blackadder V? Which is that one?

I know what you mean, though. Not so long ago I watched the first episodes of A Bit of Fry & Laurie, and I so could not match up the people I saw onscreen with the host of QI and Dr House.

She might mean A Black Adder Christmas Carol.

What's even funnier is showing people a picture of Hugh Laurie as Prince George from Black Adder III. The look of shock on their faces is priceless. :-)

Ah yes I love Hugh Laurie... he's one of those great actors that hardly anyone knows about in the states.

Stephen Fry was another one that I first saw in Black Adder and have been absolutely crazy about ever since.

Yeah I was introduced to Blackadder back in college, so now seeing Hugh Laurie as House and Rowan Atkinson as "the new G-rated kid-centric Mr. Bean" is just WEIRD to me. ;)

Even better is watching him be a complete doofus in Jeeves & Wooster. Hoot 'n' a half, lemme tell ya.

More likely it's Blackadder: Back & Forth, the 2000 special with the time machine.

The sad thing is, that's the one I meant. Whoops. I just remembered the title of the OTHER one-off special. :-)

BlackAdder V

Worked out a feasible idea for a 5th series of BlackAdder.

Baldrick is the lead singer in a 5 person band, and Blackadder is the band's manager. In a way it's a reworking of Blackadder 3, but instead of a daft Prince Regent you'd have a daft rock star who indulge in absolutely stupid and ridiculous behaviour. An alternative version is that Baldrick is the roadie to the band, and that the Hugh Laurie type character is the main singer.

In any case, Blackadder would be behind the scenes, keen to promote the group but also resenting it's success and his lack of acclaim as the mastermind behind it.

I took copies of Blackadder III over to Jenn's. She's a big HOUSE fan, as she's a trained nurse, and seeing Laurie act the goat blew her away.

They had the remake of FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX on TV last Friday, and Laurie's in that. Tried watching it, but like THE ITALIAN JOB remake, it wasn't a patch on the original.

That's the one. For some reason the Videotape it came from says "Black Adder V - Back and Forth" on the cover and on the tape. Even on the spine.

What's funny to me is I first saw Rowan Atkinson in Black Adder II in the late 80s, where (I think) he's a really good looking guy. Then I saw Mr. Bean, and Black Adder I and thought to myself "MY GOD, WHAT HAPPENED?!"

I really, really like your idea. I would watch it in a heartbeat!
