I have a headache, I'm up to my forehead in angry calls, I need a break. So by doing that, here's a long awaited update and news report.

1) Usually about this time, I'm pushing my Amazon wish list. This year, I'd rather if you can, make a donation or two. I've not been able to save as much as I'd like because of a couple of big purchases (in fact, I used $300 in Seattle money for new tires, which is exactly what that fund was for), and added expenses now that there are two of us in the house. I'm good for now, but could be better.

2) Christmas cards will be printed tonight, if you want one, please post HERE. I'll be mailing them all as they come in. They'll be postcards, but they should be pretty nice postcards. :)

3) Emily is here. My work days are full of Puzzle Fighter, Sims 2, and even Second Life, which was a whole wierd area for a while there. Sundays are still comics days, although I'm running behind in them, especially with AWFW (although I get no complaints when that one runs late). Sunday's also make me feel incredibly guilty since the whole day is comicking and very little time with her. Mondays are usually pretty busy. We've gone to Austin twice those mondays, mostly to visit Dean, or check out some rail-stuff. She spends my work days mostly biking, or house-working (which I complain about since she's not here to be my maid :) ).

4) She did however fix my truck. And by fix, I mean FIX MY TRUCK. The truck has had a bad vibration in it for some time. I attempted to figure out which tire was doing it (I assumed bad balancing) by putting a spare on one tire at a time to determine which one it was. The spare? Flattened the moment it was put on (I guess a six year old tire gets old after a while). I was goping to get the spare repaired, then mounted on each tire to see which one was vibrating. Emily figured it out - both front tires were...OVAL. We got THREE new tires, truck runs great. Then she got a hammer, roll of paper towels, and a tire iron, and fixed my front door - which has been popping and creaking since the 90s. While working on it, Emily accidentally stripped the wiring on one of my external spakers I use for plugging my shortwave radio into. So what did she do? Dissassembled the speakers, wired them into my radio, and now the radio, which hasn't worked since the EARLY 90s, works again...even if you have to use the FADE slider for volume. The truck door doesn't close right...one set of vice grips later, it works fine. If she can find that poil leak (and she's said she's thinking about it), that truck will be 100%. Or at least as 100% as a truck with 209,000 miles can be.

5) We have enough food to kill a llama. So much in fact there was no room in the freezer for everything. I basically splurge don the grocery bill this month, getting anything and everything I needed from the grocery store, jumping over to a Mexican grocery (where we picked up, of all things, HP sauce (aka House of Parliamnet sauce, which they use to spice up their steaks and was the ink the Magna Carta was written in)) and more different kinds of sodas than you could shake a stick at. Then the Indian restaurant (which it seems actually HAS commercially available Indian MREs), THEN the Asian market, which we picked up everything else.

6) Our days are filled with kisses and love. :) It's nice to have someone to come home to.

And that's about it. How are you?

alive, half-frozen from going out surveying this morning in the cold cold wind, and still on this side of the grassroots despite being on chemo six afternoons out of seven each week.
