If you look JUST in front to the bumper of my truck, near the ocean line you'll see a spot of blue on the beach. That's....



...this Portuguese Man O War.

After seeing hundreds more down the beach, suddenly the ocean doesn't look as inviting. :D

I had a similar experience when I visited Daytona Beach a few years back. I was totally fascinated by the stingy critters, but was definitely put off from any sort of ocean swimming!

as much fun as the beach can be with all the pretty sights such as the ocean at sunset and.....well other things worth watching I dont have any desire to swim in the ocean.

Id much prefer a pool, no animals that can kill you and as long as you avoid kiddy pools you can avoid the 2 major hazards pools have.
