Well said, and very true - it is much easier to kill (or hurt, or anything negative for that matter) someone that you see only as a category... not a person. And unfortunately, TG folk are often seen as a novelty at best. :/

It's very horrible. Until our society, in general, stops categorizing and treats people as people this kind of thing will continue to happen. We have, as a species, a remarkable ability to classify people and thus dismiss them. Murder, rape, and other acts of violence (both physical and emotional) become "easy" as a result.

So what does one do? I think the only answer is to keep going forward and being who you are. It's the only way, at what I think is a fundamental level, to make change. By being who you are.

Which, y'know, seems pretty cool from where I sit. :)
