I've been keeping tabs. Marking and clocking and noticing. In all the years of sleep problems, I've never done this before, and I think this definately shows my sleep pattern is totally out of whack:

I am completely and totally fighting sleep no matter how much I get and when, from exactly 2PM to 3:30PM. If I fight it enough, my energy level perks back up.

From 2AM to 4AM, no matter how much sleep I get and when, I'm wide awake.

Definate pattern there. No solutions as of yt. Even the 4 hour sleep doesn't make that 2PM-3:30PM battle ANY better.

I had a friend who could never get enough sleep and was always falling asleep, turns out he had sleep apnea and wasn't really getting "good" sleep and a CPAP machine made him 100x better.

A sleep study might help, at the very least you get to show off your pajamas.

I always find getting up for a quick "around the room" walk, a drink of water, and a piece of hard candy helps me when I end up in that "omg must sleep" afternoon space.
