Half the zombies are VEGETARIANS!
Apr. 3rd, 2008 01:17 pmAgain, for those of you in the Austin Area (or Central Texas for that matter), you might want to consider heading to Liberty Hill this weekend for Saturday's Moviegasm. They're a lot of fun, there are good movies, and good folks, and I'll be there (either mid-day, or early evening, depending on how much sleep I get).
After scaring everyone last time with the Sinnamon Ring (people were taking the joke "Diabetic Warning" labels seroiusly, perhaps with good reason), I plan to scare you all again by bringing some of the Roman breads I've been working on. There are three types I can make, but I may not have enough time over the next few days to make all three. So I'll leave the choice up to the folks I know will be going:
1) Hapalos Artos - Soft cakey bread made with olive oil and milk.
2) Boletinos Artos - The original Roman version of the Roman Meal bread that dissapeared from store shelves a few years back. If I can find the right pan, it's a puffy cupcakey mushroom looking bread with poppyseeds and wheat flakes on top If I can't find the right pan, same bread in a loaf.
3) Nanos - Three layers of cheese, topped with cheese. Each loaf guaranteed to clog your arteries in place.
Each one takes me about 6 hours to make, broken up by my wonky sleep scehdule means about one loaf per day. But only two days until Moviegasm. So, those of you going, which would you like me to make?
