I just realized with my credit cards completely paid off, I have $2550 in credit. JUST a little more than I make in a month. Completely maxxed out, with the money I make now, it takes about four month of payments to clear it out.

An orchiectomy (males reading this should prolly not google-image that term, really) in Dallas costs $2000.

I'm beginning to wonder, if the truck is in good shape when we get to Seattle, if this wouldn't be a wise investment. I seriously doubt I'll ever be able to afford my actual SRS surgery, ever. I'm content (for now) to just get rid of those testosterone producing bastards....

Or maybe just apply for every credit card they're offering me, buying traveler's checks with that, and getting the whole shebang done that way. Try repo-ing THAT!

Do what one of my friends did.

1. Become a PhD candidate at a well-known public university.
2. Get on their health insurance plan.
3. Get your therapist to say you have a disability.
4. Bitch until state-paid insurance covers all treatment.
5. Fly to Thailand and have SRS.
6. Profit?

$2000 is a good price, no? I just checked Marci Bowers' site. Yours costs more there. Mine costs $7,200. Plus I would have to lose 70 pounds before anyone would even consider operating on me.

Money is one thing from keeping SRS from me, but the other is the weight thing. I haven't been an operable weight since high school. :/

Although I've often said, if I can't get it done legally because of my weight, there are other, but more dangerous, options.

There was someone performing orchiectomies in Portland, Oregon a few years ago (170 miles south of Seattle). That'd be worth looking into, it'd just be like a drive down to Corpus for an outpatient operation. I don't know how much they charged, though.
