I'd lose the bold italics because it makes it a bit harder to read large blocks of text. I'd also go dark-on-light instead of the inverse but i know how you feel about that ;-)
I haven't been following the Wishworld thing. The layout looks fine on my resolution, but is static and doesn't adjust to a smaller window. It might not need to, though.
Yeah, the idea was to try and make the apge fit in a 1024x78 window so you wouldn't need to keep scrolling, but the pages were getting so long per chapter that I just shrunk it to a frame. I may make it bigger now that the whole page will be static.
You could always make the columns scalable - see http://realworldstyle.com/2col.html or maybe a scrollable window, like the example given at http://www.xhtmltips.co.uk/2007/10/01/css-tip-scrollable-divs-using-overflow-overflow-x-and-overflow-y/ - that way it wouldn't matter how long the text was.
That wouldn't be a bad idea, especially as that was the problem with overflowing columns. However, I've posted the new website already, and I'm pretty happy with it (although not happy with having to have a B&W and W&B version of each text file on my site). Ah, well, cna't have it all.
