There's something about snow...maybe it's the whole not seeing snow till I moved to Pennsylvania at age 22, and having it for five years running. But I totally LOVE snow. Five years of bone chilling temps, ice on the road, snow avalanches on my windshield...still love it.

I had a horrible day at work today. The last 90 minutes, I was the only tech on the lines, and was feeling kinda put upon. But then the snow came, I completely forgot about work, and played in it, with it, and on it.

There's just something about snow that makes me insanely happy. I hope there's more soon. Heck I hope there's more every year I'm here. :D

I'm the same way! I got stuck having to take a $40 dollar cab ride to work cause I missed the bus cause of the snow (who ever heard of a bus running EARLY during a snow storm) and yet sitting in the cab all I could do was smile as I looked out the window cause of the snow. I really REALLY hope it sticks around till after Christmas :)

Snow where? *checks* You're right there's snow outside again.

We've had one day so far, and by day, I mean hour. (I went outside that day, but when I came back it was gone.)

At least snow here (and seattle) is usually the wet-doesn't-last-that-long snow, and not the dry-subzero-turns-into-a-ice-brick-the-next-day which you get 4 hours east. Don't get me wrong, I like snow that I can ski in, but not snow that's become ice. When it does that and I can walk on top without sinking, it's not snow anymore.

Spoke too soon - we got the wet snow, and it turned into a brick anyways. :)

Fresh fallen snow makes the world new and fresh... like a canvas that has been partially erased and is waiting to be filled in again. The old is covered, but not destroyed, so you know the familiar is still waiting for you later. But with the snow you can also see the things that are normally hidden. You can see the path of a mouse you never knew was there, having etched its contribution to the new work. You can see the paths of people and it gives you a mystery to wonder upon. Who were they? What were they doing? Why did they key my car?

Ahh, the wonders of winter.

I have been in snowy regions all my life. (26 years at this point.)

Everybody I know bitches incessantly (okay, a few exceptions) when the equinox passes, when the first snow hits, when it gets cold.

I am known to squeal uncontrollably and drag reluctant boyfriends out into the chill because OMG IT'S SNOWING WE HAVE TO PLAY IN IT NOW NOW NOW.
