Round Three of the snow even dumped even MORE snow on top of old snow and ice, and, to add insult to injury, left a nice coating of ice on top of everything else. I managhed to make it into work today, did about 7 hours, and came home before the freezing rain hit.

That isn't to say I didn't escape unscathed. I actually fell on my ass earlier, doing the whole arms flailing, feet scrabbling, Hanna Barbera Sound Indicing slipping on the way down. I'll be feeling that in the morning.

Emily made the treacherous trip to the Renton Park and Ride, where we gave a woman a quick ride up near her house because her bus had been cancelled. Good deed for the month - DONE!

Here're some pics, a mix of good quality pics (Emily's before her camera's battery died) and bad quality pics (Mine - I only had my phone with me) follow:

Lawsuit waiting to happen - 3 Inches of snow piled up over ice and snow frmo the previous 2 rounds!

Winds so strong, only windward sides got snow.

She earned her gas today, climbing up and down Renton Hill before it became impassable.

*looks out her window, sees a four-wheeled snowmound and acknowledges, "That's my car."*

Considering that Seattle is far enough north in a place where it can snow at all, the City, if not the state DOT, should have more infrastructure in place to avoid this next time.
