It says I've got 5 Inches outside of my door. There're drifts of at least 18 to 24 if I go anywhere on the windward side of the building.

The results of walking an hour in the snow on our hair. :)

Snow Drifts

The wind blasted only one side of this car with snow, then carved out a "shelf."

Random shots of the area

And a plate found on a canary yellow jeep:

I was just watching a news report online about the storm in Seattle. All I can say is ... YIKES. Those are some serious hills out there, and I can't imagine what it's like without proper plows and some salt. Stay safe!

Dang! O_O; That's like....Michigan levels of snow in a place that basically doesn't get snow!

Even THEY can't deal with it. I tried to help a Toyota station wagon with Michigan plates on and chains on the tires try to get up the hill out of the apartment parking lot. Even with the chains and the cold-weather driving experience they were just sitting there literally spinning their wheels.

Hahaha I can easily imagine this. Sadly only about half of us actually know how to drive in the snow. The other half are either 1) terrified and refuse to go out in a little dusting of snow, or 2) stupid, like that guy.

Then again, most of our main roads are well maintained. It snows less here than it did where I grew up, where Lake Effect snow meant that you HAD to know how to drive on untreated roads like the ones where you are now.
