It's happening.
It's really got me worried.
So I got out the Tarot cards.
"What is the Future of my Job Situation?"

Those of you who can also read them...you getting as bad a reading on this as I'm getting?

Date: 2009-01-17 02:17 pm (UTC)I see a lot of fear, a lot of weight to carry.
I'm also finding that I want to ask you where is your mastery?

Date: 2009-01-29 02:34 pm (UTC)My two cents
Date: 2009-01-17 03:57 pm (UTC)Both future cards have the constant theme of being either blocked or immobolized. The Magician card crowning you feels a tad funky - a reversed Magician can mean being unable to carry things out, but I think there's more to it than that in this case (if I were doing the reading I would normally start throwing a few cards regarding that one.)
I don't know how far your "long-term future" card usually looks ahead, but I didn't see anything about loss. Hopefully this means that at the very least you'll still have some income even if the situation isn't so great. :(

Date: 2009-01-17 05:36 pm (UTC)1. Current Situation. You worked hard to get up North...
2. The Fool. ...but in doing so, you had to go without much of a safety net
3. Goal. Your insecurity and the lack of a safety net has caused some major problems.
4. Historical past. Coming north was to put an end to suffering felt in previous situations.
5. Current situation. A false start and unrealized goal. I doubt you need me to even mention Globex here.
6. Near future. Also pretty easy to read. Loss, failure, pain. But now then...
7. Self. Decisions made too hasty, but still a certain level of hope.
8. Feelings. Stubbornness, overly materialistic.
9. Hopes and fears -- in this case, definitely fears. A delay in your goals.
10. Final outcome. A release from bondage and a new life's direction.
What I'm seeing here is a good reflection on what your going through right now. The reading is not without hope, and the potential to get away from a few life scripts that hold you back, but require actions that avoid stubbornness and falling into old routines. The next few months are going to be very, very hard, but there is a payoff if you can work positively through them.
... and yes, the notion that I'd end up the friend of the person who's tarot deck I bought back in '93, let alone first admired the art of back in '85, was... unexpected. Life seems to work that way, I suppose. ;-)
