Today has been full of hope. I've got an interview with Apple tomorrow. I'm really hoping it goes through. Actually, I'm begging.

I went to see Erin, Marca and Andy today. Had an excellent dinner with them, and then they cleaned out their closets...which means I came home with some cool beano hand me downs. Had some serious girl talk about the uses of guys. Some innuendo all around. Trips down Memory Lane. Lots of fun,,,and Marca mentioned something that kinda jarred me.

"I'm so glad you're not moving to San Antonio. We like having you here."

Can you believe no one has ever said this to me? All my friends, I've always believed I was more of a pest than an invited guest. Brought over only because they could tolerate me for a few hours. Low self-esteem and all, you know. It's nice to realize that you're WANTED as well as liked.

Every time I've gone over to their house, I tend to stick with Erin, and today, I was really trying to include Marca in my visit. Today I realized that she really does like me. Not that I had doubts that she DIDN'T...I was just thinking that I wasn't the person she thought I was when we first met, and was disappointed.

Now I hope I'm not alienating Andy. It's strictly girls night out with us, so that might be a bit hard. :)

It's been a good day. Very good. You know something? Tron with a sub woofer sounds REAL good.

We hardly disturbed Andy at all. He is a fairly agreeable man, and when "clothes" were mentioned, he popped a Mechwarrior game into the laptop and had a lovely time blowing things up. He is mature enough to know that when the girls night out thing begins, he just needs to wander off, and he can take advantage of the peace and quiet on his side of the house.

Cool. I get worried sometimes that I ignore him. Nice to know he "gets it" and just goes off on his own when the estrogen kicks in. :)
