I know how you feel, Drake.
Jul. 12th, 2009 08:32 amI'm at a crossroads and I don't know what to do. I need your advice. All comments will be screened, and anonymous posts are okay, as well. Please be honest.
I've been given an opportunity to stay in Seattle. I have an opportunity to go to Texas. I don't know what to do...there's good and bad on both fronts.
If I go to Texas, I'll have an almost guranateed job. I'm about to be $3900 in debt. And the economy isn't getting any better. I could jump at the chacne to be employed at a company I actually liked, save up by living at home or with friends, pay off my debts, and work on Canadian Citizenship from Texas. I couldn't visit Emily often, and would have to work long distance to move directly to Canada.
However, friends of mine have offered me a chance to stay with them. If I stay, I have more time in Seattle. I stay close to Emily. Canada is up the street along with help in becoming a citizen right there. The problem is, I have no money, and the employment situation here is bleak (In my area almost 14%). I'm worried that I could be out of work for years, like I was in State College in 1997 and Austin 2001.
I don't know what to do. What would YOU do? Please be honest, and anonymous if you need to be. I can't decide, and time is quickly running out on both fronts.
