Aug. 25th, 2009 05:01 pmOne of my most happily content memories is sitting in my cube at Dell in the fall of 2000. The lights are all off except my red cube light, Radiohead's Optimistic playing in my headphones as I wait for Emails, and there's a thunderstorm going on outside.
I miss those days.

Date: 2009-08-26 06:52 am (UTC)Would that I could have everything just as it was nine years ago. The building I worked in was emptied two years ago and the people all now somewhere else. The new job pays better but has yet to have the happy memories. Staying in the area a while longer if the job holds up.
Opinion: Going back won't get you closer to your long term goal. You have to risk failing, just keep picking yourself up and taking another step forward. It's only after time passes when you can look back at how far you've gone. Never as far as you would like but looking around you'll see plenty of people who just never got anywhere.
