Have you ever wanted to know more about that wierd girl called Jenn Dolari. Every single detail from her conception to that special thing she does before she goes to bed (you know the thing...I know you know).

Well, you won't get it here. I'm sorry, but there are things you're nmot meant to know. That said, here's a two disc set of the life of Jenn Dolari as set to music.

K-TEL presents Jenn Dolari - The First Thirty Five Years

Each period of her life, as well as special people in her life, are represented by music specifically chosen for both appropriateness of what was going on, or who it's about, and the time it period represents. Sort of. Kinda. In most cases. This two disc set contains almost two hours of music (mind you, 23 minutes is in that first track, so we won't get pissed off if you fast forward through it).

What songs are on it? Well, I know, but you don't. You'll discover what they are as you listen - what a better way to introduce yourself to new music, or enjoy old music. Or skip around if you want, it doesn't matter (although my life story will get really wierd if you do that).

How much would you pay for this collection? Upwards of your Life Savings? Well guess what! It's absolutely free, assuming you have the bandwidth for a 120MB download (broken up into two convenient 60 or so MB chunklets). It's free! It's music! It's life! IT's a limited time only, cause I tend to delete stuff on the pub directory after a month!

Go do fun! http://www.dolari.org/pub/jdtf35y

In all seriousness, I got this idea from Darque Bishop who is in the midst of creating a soundtrack to his life, and I thought it'd be neat to make one for me. I actually really put a lot of effort to get songs with appropriate lyrics, and appropriate times to get it all working. There are a few instrumentals in there, but chosen because they convey the mood of that period in my life. Yeah, that first one is 23 minutes long, but I chose it because it works. I tend to skip the middle segment of that song myself. :)

Hope y'all enjoy, I rather like the soundtrack. :)

Well, there's the answer to everything - you're a starbaby. :)

The Mountain Goats, eh? Eek. :P No, srsly, I listened to at least see what most of the songs were, and this is pretty damned cool.

I like. :)

A few years ago [livejournal.com profile] digital_eraser made a couple of well-done "radio edits" of Echoes, 8:15 and 4:25. I'll send them to you tonight.

I actually got the inspiration from my friends Sean and Jinny; Sean has a habit of describing his life from the point of view of a (fictional) dramedy series called Red Cedar Place (named after their house). Earlier this year, Sean and Jinny released the soundtrack to season one of RCP.

After doing a meme on Facebook called "The Soundtrack of My Life", I decided to have some fun and made a soundtrack to The D'Arque Cathedral, which is the BBC spinoff to Red Cedar Place. Jenn actually went more with my format than Sean & Jinny's; whereas the RCP soundtrack was just a bunch of songs that fit the season, mine was more of a leitmotif format where the songs were themes to events, people, and groups. However, mine's far more modest, as I only have seventeen tracks on mine right now.

I'll likely announce the track list on my site at some point. As for an official release, well... unlike S&J and Jenn, I suck at graphic arts so making CD cover art is a bit out of the question. We'll see, though. :-)
