I know you love the black and neon so i won't comment on that ;-) But perhaps you could add a bit more matting inside the middle and bottom-right neon borders so the icon text and edge of the comic don't get so squished up. The top-left neon border seems to have more breathing room.
I have to keep with the black. Black text on white hurts my eyes, and I have to stare at that page for hours. So black background stays. Neon...well...You know, there's a story behind that. I've been trying my damndest to emulate the early 2000s "glowy UI" you see in things like the Final Fantasy movie, and the old XBox dashboard.
And yeah, that matting issue doesn't sound like a bad idea. Thanks!
