dolariSemi good news on Sarah/Carrot. If you go to http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=hermit_knight&itemid=24358 it seems that one of her friends has at least heard frmo her. Still, I wait for first hand news, though.
In other news, I found somethign I always wanted, and while I should be jumping for joy, I'm still worried about the previous news bit. Basically, what this page has, is very good very complete maps of El Camino Real from Natchitoches (Nak-ih-tish), LA to Guerrero, Mexico. And with good maps, comes the ability for me to get out MY maps, and trace the route south of San Antonio! I dunno about the route inside the city, yet, but at elast now I have the route south of town.
I also learned something - the route that I've always pegged as El Camino Real is NOT the true King's Highway. It's "Old San Antonio Road" a Spanish Military road which is pretty close to the Camino Real, but not the true road (which often flies off miles away). Hopefully I can get some better more accurate maps and FINALLY drive (or hike) the whole damned thing from the Texas border to Natchitoches, LA. http://www.nps.gov/planning/swso/feasea/dfsea.htm
