dolariConsidering that today I'm a bird in a gilded cage (that prolly should have the newspaper changed once in a while :) )I have way too much time on my hand.
The other day, Aadroma said "Wow, you have a whole world in your head." So I explored it a little. And even learned a few thing. I arranged my entire universe into a timeline, and if'n ya wanna read it, please do. Be warned - there's some serious spoilers for A Wish for Wings and The Polychronicon.
I'd love some feedback on those that DO read it...
8 Billion Years Ago - This universe is created after an explosion in another universe breaks a dimensional barrier, causing The Big Bang. The only survivor of the previous Universe is a woman named Angie Caldwell, plucked out of Time by a Supreme Being and put into stasis.
4 Billion Years Ago - The Solar System and the planet Earth are formed. Angie Caldwell is installed as the planet's power core and guiding force.
12 Thousand Years Ago - A Llanorian Prison Ship time-shifts and lands in the Mediterranean Sea. The pilot artificially stimulates their primitive technology. Two years later, a volcanic eruption forces the evacuation of the island, and during the escape the time ship crashes into the island of Bermuda.
3113 BC - (August 13th) A crystal appears to a South American indian tribe and begins to artificially stimulate technology for an unknown reason.
3083 BC - The Indian Tribe disappears from Earth, with explosion destroying most traces of the enhanced technology. The tribe appears on a distant planet, and the crystal continues to promote highly accelerated technology. A genetic shift begin to occur in the tribe.
27 Years Ago - Andrea Williamson is born (Alternate Universe)
23 Years Ago - Alison San Patricio is Born.
21 Years Ago - Zand Corrinega is born. Angie Caldwell is given a directive from The Supreme Being to destroy him. Carrie Terrell is born.
Tomorrow - Andrea Williamson dies (Alternate Universe)
5 Years from Now - The Clone Research Center Incident. Julie Starr is "Created" as well as Charlene Starr. Bill Sutton disappears and reappears on a world known as Serbin.
15 Years from Now - The Bone Plague explodes in South Texas, and is particularly virulent in San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi. The entire state of Texas is quarantined, and secessionist movements begin. The Bone Plague ends on it's own in a few weeks, but it's effects scar the population for years to come.
23 Years from Now - Julie Starr meets her cloned sister, Charlene Starr in Texas. Angie brokers an agreement with the Supreme Being to die with the death of Zand Corrinega. The Second Clone Center Incident happens in Pennsylvania. Zand Corrinega dies, but is the subject of the first mind transference into a female clone (aliasing himself as Jennifer Henly). Angie Caldwell dies per agreement and is replaced by Alice Wilson as Guardian of Earth. Alice is more interested in meddling than in nurturing the population.
24 Years from Now - Serial murders in Austin, Texas, are solved by Zand Corrinega/Jennifer Henly.
25 Years from Now - The first male clone is produced, this time containing the mind of Zand's former (female) lover, Susan Briggs. Several counties in Texas secede from the United States, each proclaiming themselves The Republic of Texas. The largest breakaway group of counties is dubbed "The Hill Country Republic" and includes San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Dallas.
26 Years from Now - Jennifer Henly and Stephen Briggs marry and have a child, Samuel Briggs.
41 Years from Now - Samuel Briggs continues Zand's work and experiments in cloning and begins his own work in Time Theory.
2354 AD - Jennifer Henly dies refusing yet another cloned body.
2356 AD - Stephen Briggs dies refusing yet another cloned body. During a time experiment, Samuel tosses a powering crystal from his mind transference device into a Time Portal. It is never seen again.
2422 AD - Samuel Briggs, confident in his time machine and phasing device jumps back in time to his parent's wedding. He materializes inside Stephen Briggs and dies immediately. Samuel's phasing device, though, continues to function making him invisible to the rest of the world. The Universe is reset to "26 Years from Now"

26 Years from Now - Stephen Briggs is killed by Jennifer Henly during a homicidal rage brought on by mental degeneration. The cause is the phased body imbedded in Stephen, but no one is able to determine that. Jennifer Henly/Zand Corrinega's mind is returned to a cloned version of his male body. The memory of Jennifer Henly is erased and she is "raised" as an amnesiac.
27 Years from Now - The Three Rivers Incident. Jennifer Henly is kidnapped by radical secessionists, using her naivete to make her the first (figurehead) Empress of the Bexar Empire (a group that has seceded from The Hill Country Republic). Zand Corrinega takes refuge in the Three Rivers Complex, along with Christine Oldham.
2200s AD - The Bexar Empire has retaken roughly one half of the former state of Texas, parts of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. It threatens to take the remaining Texan Republics, all of which are backed by The United States military.
2266 AD - A student of the University of Bermuda, Nadine Colorado, rediscovers the Llanorian Time ship and awakens the pilot in stasis. Two prisoners aboard the ship later reawaken, and plow the ship into Charlotte, North Carolina, believing that they are destroying a Llanorian city. Long dormant and forgotten "mutual annihilation" nuclear warheads are automatically launched from countries across the globe. Civilization collapses, although settlements in San Antonio, San Francisco, and Kansas City survive. The Bexar Empire, largely unhurt, invades the remaining Texan Republics, assisting with aid whenever possible.
2300s AD - Zand Corrinega and Christine Oldham begin work at rebuilding society along with genetically engineering future humans.
2600s AD - Civilization reaches bronze age technology. The Bexar Empire establishes godhood for their Emperors and Empresses with the Kondat Dynasty. The Kondat's are superb military leaders, super intelligent and extremely fair, but contain two flaws - bright purple hair and the Bone Plague, causing them to be living statues.
2954 AD - Civilization reaches a carefully guided industrial age. The Californian Provinces begins to encroach on the Bexar Empire's borders. The Bexar Empire's capital is moved from Los Adades to San Antonio. During the move, the Empress is kidnapped by Californian agents and retrieved. The North American War begins. Zand Corrinega begins creating a new breed of super humans. Christine Oldham disappears.
3021 AD - The California Provinces and Bexar empire merge into the United North American Government (with the Kondat Emperors as head of state) after a breed of mutated violent super humans appears throughout the world. The UNAG begins to give aid to other governments to combat the mutants.
3075 AD - The UNAG becomes the United Earth Government with the death of the last superhuman. Very few holdouts remain, although a small fledgling country known as the Illyricum refuses to join the UEG.
3200s AD - The Earth enters an Information Age. Humans have finally become independent again. The Kondat Dynasty begins to disappear, and normal humans take over the reigns of their destiny. The Kondat myth begins to dissipate and they eventually simply become considered humans with a bone disease.
3500s AD - The UEG begins work on a space program, with one Zand Corrinega as it's head advisor. The world is divided into the UEG and the Illyricum (and puppet states) mostly around the Mediterranean Sea.
3600s AD - The Solar System is now populated and colonized inside of a hundred years...most as a project to spread humanity as far and wide as possible to avoid another mass extinction.
3776 AD - Earth colonizes an uninhabited planet that seems to have had a city on it at one time. The humans name it Franklin's Planet.
3777 AD - Contact with Earth is lost, as a huge armada of alien ships appears over Franklin's Planets. Most of the colonists are killed as the original inhabitants (Calinian's) return from a decades old war with another species, in which they moved the entire population to fight. With the war ending, only twelve humans remain (one Kondat with them as well). The very first Human to Alien clone and mind transference occurs.
3778 AD - Using a human made into a Calinia, Earth is contacted and a rescue ship is sent. During the waiting period, Zand Corrinega is kidnapped and makes "mathematical" contact with Calinian scientists. Word that the Humans are more than vermin spread among the Calinian Populace. The surviving humans make contact with a Llanorian prisoner. One human and one Llanorian. Zand becomes unstable due to military torturing and destroys the human HQ in a fit of insanity, taking with it several humans. The entire underground domain collapses. Civil War breaks out when the army attempts to exterminate the remaining humans, allowing the rescue ship to come in and rescue two survivors, carrying the journal of Zand Corrinega. The rescue ship is followed by a scout ship.
3779 AD - Angie Caldwell is born.
3780 AD - The Entire population of Calinia appears over the skies of Earth demanding that they "Take the Empire." Taking it as a declaration of war the UEG and Illyricum join forces to fight off the invaders.
3781 AD - The Treaty of Denver, the last of the remaining UEG controlled lands, is signed. In the treaty, the UEG is recreated as a mutual partner in an interstellar empire. It is secretly revealed that the Calinian race is failing, and that once the race has devolved to the point of non-sentience, that humans will inherit the empire. A joint Human/Calinian expedition to Llanorian space to extend a peace treaty is proposed.
3795 AD - Human and Calinian archaeologists find the human HQ in the debris of the underground tunnels and find a body. It is released and while a complete amnesiac, a note found alongside the body names him as Zand Corrinega.
3796 AD - Angie Caldwell delivers Zand's journal to Zand, who is horrified to read the contents of his former life. The Llanorians sign the peace treaty, and hit that there is yet another world beyond it's borders, named Serbin.
3797 AD - During a flight from Calinia to Earth, Zand is "called" to the ship by voices coming from a Calinian crystal religious artifact. Fearing a hijack, the UEG sends out an escort to follow the ship. Fearing another invasion the Illyricum sends out it's own ships to destroy the hijacked freighter. Firing on the ship, causes an experiment Zand Corrinega was performing to go awry, breaching a portal into an anti-matter universe. A new universe is created after an anti-matter explosion in this universe breaks a dimensional barrier, causing The Big Bang. The only survivor of the previous Universe is a woman named Angie Caldwell, plucked out of Time by a Supreme Being and put into stasis.
