Had a call with someone who was so bad at following directions that after 40 minutes of just trying to get IP info, I gave up. Just told him "I can't help you" and he agreed and hung up.

I share your pain. I have been a help desk person and there truly is no limit to human obtuseness. It might be therapeutic to draw a web comic.
