Looks like the Chimichurri sauce spill took out my camera. Olive oil inside and out of the camera, an no power.

I give up on Digital Cameras. Five in as many years, all broken or dissapeared.

Phone and DS seem fine.

Ouch!

I have a Cannon (5MP, IS2, 12x zoom its a big camera), a Kodak, and Nikon. I've been to India and Panama with the Cannon and Kodak. Australia and New Zealand with the Cannon and Nikon. Hiked on a glacier, ocean kayaked, been in 12 foot seas in a 36 foot boat, Been rained on, dunked, dropped, scratched, and all of them still work.

I've been VERY happy with the Cannon, its big, bulky, but takes 500 shots on 4 AA batteries. I just wrap it in a plastic bag throw in my bag and go.

I still have my Canon A20. Don't use it much, but really did like the panorama setting on it. Nowadays I use a little Traveller thing I bought at ALDIs. It takes videos as well as stills, though I've only used that a few times.

My first big purchase for it was a bright red camera bag that had a carry strap and a solid case. Has protected it every since.

Oh hell... I hate that. I took to carrying my lunch bag separately if there was anything conceptually spillable after a couple times.
