They creep me out too. They remind me of my great uncle. Any idea where they came from?

I saw them as a little kid. But the rhyming thing comes from a monster in Mage the Hero Discovered. It struck me as creepy to have a creature that could only talk in rhyme. Only a few of the shadows do it.

I have sometimes felt that I wasn't alone when there was no one else in the room, but I get the feeling you experienced something different.

Did they go away, or did you just learn to ignore them or what? It took me YEARS to learn that whatever it was that was watching me could be ignored if no one else said they felt like they where being watched too.

I just stopped seeing them when I was about four, but was deathly afraid of the dark up until about ten years ago.

How did you beat fear of the dark? I still struggle with that one- It's not the lack of visibility that bugs me, it's that in the dark I can't tell what's real and what's not.

I learned Wicca. While I didn't keep up with it, it taught me nothing can hurt me that I don't allow to hurt me. Within reason.
