Not much to today, mostly just hangin' around the house, and going to Schlotzsky's....got to meet Scott and Casey. Quite the cool people. Puzzles, talks and happy family times. Klunkers along the way, but that's to be expected.

In general, however, I ask for one thing. The one thing that is my key out of here. I wasnt to find someone, in the liberal capital that is Austin, who is willing to see me as a resource, skill or trade, instead of a "Guy in a Dress." One that would hire me and not trump up an excuse not to hire me. Someone who can get me AWAY from this house, and back on my feet.

THAT would make me happy. THAT is what I need.

Sad thing is, I DID find someone who hired me for my abilities over my transgender looks. HE gave me a great job, got me on my feet and set me in Austin. He's since left Kinko's. And while the people AT Kinko's would remember me and push the new manager to hire me, they simply aren't hiring.

Ok, I'll fess up... That was me that posted that. I thought a more generic answer would help more people than a specific one, but since you answered both ways... well... Kudos to you for the forethought. :)

If I knew of anyone hiring in your area, I'd put in a good word for you. I do have the somewhat unique qualification of having read/reviewed probably 5000 resumes over the past few years, and interviewed quite a large number of people. I'd be happy to give your resume a peek, and give you any advice I can come up with for it.

Anything to help. :) My resume is at http://www.dolari.org/lj/resume.pdf. That's a pretty generic version. Depending on the job I spruce it up (more graphics work for graphics design jobs, more techie stuff for technical jobs).

When I went to my last interview, they had the Five Page Monster.Com version, and were happy to see a one page sheet. :)
