That may be! But I know how escrow works!
Aug. 15th, 2002 12:11 pmOy...kidlet has been whiny and crying most of the day. Already been sent to his room twice. One more time and we're not going to the park. Which kinda sucks ebcaus eI'm getting cabin fever, myself.
I do not like to punish kids. I don't like raising my voice. I'll do it, but man do I feel bad about it. Constantly hoping I don't come across like my own mother.
Yesterday, within the span of two hours, I became the proud owner of:
The Making of Star Trek the Motion Picture by Gene Roddenberry
Searching for Shona by Margaret J. Andersen
Robotech Masters DVD Collection 4 (YAY!)
not to mention
ROBOTECH MASTERS #19
So my inner geek is not only settled down, but deeply satisfied.
About the Making of Star Trek book...I've had a copy of that for over fifteen years...but my copy was inherited from another person, and...
...get this...
...WAS MISSING THE LAST TWENTY PAGES.
I've been hunting for this book ever since...now I have it ,and it turns out, not only was I missing twenty pages, but about ten pages of color inserts! HOT DAMN!
Also did a few panels for the next Closetspace - some of my better stuff. I look at stuff from 1988, I realize just how far I've come.
WOO HOO!

Date: 2002-08-15 08:42 pm (UTC)I've been told that theres a "Difference' between the Amaricain-ized version and the origianl version... That may be the case and I enjoy the American-ized version greatly. but I wouldn't mind seeing some or all of the original too. :">
I have (er, should say HAD, i leant a couple of books and never got them back) the complete 'american' version of it in the books along with the "expansion" series that was never animated in the US (i dont know if it ever was in Japan either though. :">)
I haven't read the books in years so i haven't rememberd the name but it where we find out what happned to the fold engines, and LIsa and RIck are married and have kids, etc....
Anyways, i'm starting to mumble, its late at night and my brain is failing. :">
got any of the shows on VHS? or sufficient source materail i could borrow? or copy? :">
Still looking for the entire movie, missed out on the order date by a week when it first came out. :">
oh well. :">
I think Dr. Lang and Exadore are my two favourite characters of the first segment of the traid. :"> Minmie goes without saying. :">
Lets Enjoy The Experience called ROBOTECH. :)

Date: 2002-08-16 10:30 am (UTC)Do I like Robotech?
You betcher bippy I do! :)
I have the entire 18 book novel series, I have every comic of the original series (I was missing #19, though, so I had to reorder it, which is why I was insanely happy), I have every episode on VHS (although some are in Spanish), 73 of the 85 episodes on DVD, 3 episodes of the Japanese MAcross, 3 episodes of the Japanese Southern Cross books, the DO You Remember Love movie in Japanese AND English, the Macross Minmei Concert, the Mospeada Yellow Dancer concert and the SENTINELS on DVD.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOBOOOOOOOOOOOOOTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!
Even my artstyle is from Robotech (http://awishforwings.keenspace.com and http://closet.keenspace.com).
If you send me tapes and postage, or money to buy tapes and postage I'll be happy to copy them onto VHS for you. I'd do it for free for you, but I ain't got no money. :)
