So last night, last night, I sat down to watch some TV at 1AM, and the next thing I know, its 5AM. so I get ready for bed, and the next thing I know it's 2PM. I've been asleep for just over 12 hours. What the heck?!
Yesterday I wasn't feeling too well, and called up Erin to let her now I wasn't coming to dinner. Surprise! She wasn't either...soI hope Andy and Marca don't think I only go over to see Erin.
So I stayed home and tended to my sore feet, and became bored.
Insanely completely mightily bored.
DANGEROUSLY BORED.
Which means I got geeky. VERY geeky. While I was at home, mom found a computer on the curb waiting to be picked up. So she picked it up. I pulled it out and scavenged for parts, and found a 500 MB drive. Nothing spectacular, but functional.
I plugged it in to see what programs were on the machine...nothing usable. AOL 3.0, SkiFree. So.
I formatted the drive, reinstalled Windows 3.11 and DOS 6.22 and got it running. Most of my hardware even works in Win 3.11, and the whole system works a bit faster, of all things. So now I have a dedicated DOS partition, and can upgrade to Windows 2000, or another non-DOS Operating System
THIS ROCKS.
I told you I was dangerously bored.
I also made way too much spaghetti, because I have no idea to judge how much spaghetti will feel one person. S at least I have dinner for the next few weeks. :)
