Well, The Second Annual First National Jenn Day was a fun time. Not a HUGE success, but definately not the utter dismal failure it came close to being. After some mental browbeating, I not only got some cash, but got a vehicle. I went out, bought the Star Trek DVD I'd been wanting for a LONG time...and even got soe chicken wings. One of my guilty pleasures. Mmmm...guilty pleasure. :)

The third annual Second National Jenn Day is May 20th. I really hope to have a job by then, sos I can actually legitamatley enjoy it withou hoping somehting comes through at the last minute.

Also,I worked on coloring Panel 1 of AWFW (The original Panel 1 is now Panel 4). We've hit a bit of a wall, though. Because of my computer problems, each coloring operation is taking about thirty seconds of swapping before it finally displays what I want. Panel 1 took over an hour to put together, which is about triple the time it took me before to color. Hopefully I'll find smoe tricks to make it go faster.

Also, with the new episodes, we have time to change things.

Here's the site: http://awishforwings.keenspace.com

Is there anything you, the viewer at home, would like to see changed? I'm keeping the basic six panel format, and it's still gonna be in B&W.

One of the big things I'm thinking about is episode names. Right now, there are multi page episodes (THe Shattered Reflections, Parts 1-4; The Dancing Shadows, Parts 1-6). I'm considering changing that to individual episode titles (All Fall Down, Touch of Nature, The Face of Fiction).

One thing I DO plan to do is possibly take a two week to one month break between stories (The next break will be between The Dancing Shadows and Doubting Roger).

I'm also thinking of having a friend color the old issues and possibly update the existing strips is a "Special Edition" series.

What do YOU think?

Eat now, or nothing later.

You really should get a job in San Antonio.

You can't call Austin anymore.

This weekend? I don't know.

You should be looking for a job to help US.

These are a few of my favorte things. (::Grumble::)

From a message not two minutes ago about "wearing out my welcome."

"We'd rather have you here so we can help you, than in Austin where you can't help us."

Well.

If I'd known your definition of help, I'd prolly be living in my truck somewhere in Austin right now - and a whole lotta happier.

Maybe I need to 'help' you like you 'help' me.

toastyman: You realize if we were to get married, it could be Jenn Day every day. (For those who have no idea who I am, my last name is Day....)
annoyingpixie: hey jenn... sounds like a marriage proposal to me....
amw: Another one? She gets all the luck. Mrmph.
annoyingpixie: i know..... damn her!!!! you know how many i had before i found the right one!!!

This is starting to get REALLY weird.

Here we have Kevin, who knows only Jenn Dolari, Alison who knows Jenn Dolari and Jenn Hernandez, and Amy who knows me only as Jenn Hernandez.

This is WIERD. And with MAximoff coming to LJ soon as well, and more "Real-life" friends getting on board, this is getting really funky. Like matter and anti-matter coming together and not blowing up. It's kinda...phun-kee.

Now that my celebrity star has faded, and people are coming here for (supposedly) deeper insights into the PErson that is Jenn Dolari, I have to come out and say that yeah, I'm the same person who wrote all that fun stuff on all those newsgroups and junk. But if you read this journal, you'll find out that I've said a few things about myself on that group that I've lied about.

Well, misrepresented would be a better word. Why? In a world filled with overtestosteroned boys who need to be the Alpha Male and don't care who gets in the way, you don't give them any leverage. Not to mention that I really enjoyed being that celebrity for a long time. It was fun having people LIKE you, something that didn't happen to often in real life. Heck, I had the ears of Capcom USA, Sony and (To a much lesser degree) Midway. Something I never really claimed credit for was Capcom finally deciding to keep the Japanese art on their US releases as saying that Rose looked like a hooker, and Ryu looked like Forrest Gump on the covers of SF Alpha 1 PSX. Chris agreed and took it up with Capcom USA. Stuff like that is very rare indeed, and I wasn't gonna lose it.

Also, I never really wanted to be traced back. Yeah, there were a few times I wrote to AGMk with a very traceable account (No one ever asked who Baron Otto von Cheesbiscuit or Bubba Bo Bob Brain was, did they...they were my excuses when someone asked why my account had another name besides Jenn Dolari). The Real Jenn Dolari, while very very much the mental person you read in those days, was not the physical person she claimed to be. Yeah, there were pictures of me, specifically photoshopped to look bad. Only messed up pictures of me were ever posted non-photoshopped. And also, again, I never wanted to be traced back.

Nowadays, with the celebrity status withering, I can now mesh the two together and not worry about it. Yeah, I'm still your father's Jenn Dolari, but here, you'll see the real me (when I'm not bitching and whining about my current CRAPTASTIC situation...read my early posts, they're filled with fun fhappinessess). That real me may contain stuff you don't like (My suicide attempt springs to mind among other things), but in general, I'm that same person.

Normally, I wouldna said anything, but I'm finding out more and more people from AGMk and more and more people from real-life are mingling here, and I don't want people (specifically my real life friends) to have to remember that Jenn Dolari did XYZ and Jenn Hernandez did ABC and not LMNO or P.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled bitch fest.
