I'm gonna kick NOAA in the butt. They had warnings up for the WHOLE area about HUGE and MASSIVE thunderstorms coming with hail and winds and everything. We were gonna get hammered with this stuff. Well, about ten minutes ago, we had thirty seconds of a hard sprinkle and it stopped.

WHERE'S THE RAIN?

WHERE'S THE THUNDERSTORM?

WHERE'S THE CARNAGE?

Nada - nothin'. Boogers.

So anyway, on to better news: I have a job now. I have a job job job. I'm going back to Dell. $13.25 an hour, exactly what I was making when I was laid off. From the time Dean got hired, to the time he started work was a good month and a half, so I'm aiming for 1 1/2 months before I start. Time to rev up the AWFW and CS comics so that I can keep up the schedule while at work.

The training will be 1 1/2 weeks, prolly working portable computers for business queue. I will not be kept on permanent UNLESS I have A+ and/or MCSE certification. So I have my work cut out for me.

PRIORITIES:

1) Pay bills owed to Dean
2) Begin hormone treatments
3) Get apartment
4) Get certifications
5) Repair truck
6) Save up TWO YEARS worth of cash
6a) Buy toys and video games from my wishlist.

I figure I can do Priority 1 in a week or two.

Priority 2 I can't do until I get my schedule.

Priority 3 will happen soon afterwards, inside of a month of starting.

Priority 4 will be done ASAP after #3. I'm hoping it'll be a good six month run as a temp befoire we all get fired or moved on. Dell WILL hire me for Gold Queue if I have A+ and MCSE Certifications. Anyone who can give me pricing and what I need to do to get these certificates will get a hug when I graduate. Bad thing abotu Dell is they won't provide the certification, but say all their Gold techs are certified. :P

Priority 5 will take some time...if I can get 1-3, though, I can TAKE time. My plan is to save up $1000, turn my truck over to a mechanic and say "Fix." At the least, make it passable by Texas State Inspection standards, at the most, make it passable, fix my radio and some body work. I'm figuring this will take two or three months of saving up.

Priorty 6 is pretty much mandatory for me. I refuse to be stuck in the position I have been in the last two years. I plan to save up at LEAST 2 years of cash (which will be quite a lot I imagine) in the horrible case that I lose this job again. This will take FOREVER.

Priority 6a After all that's done, with the exception of #6, I plan to finally clear out my wishlist :) This will take as many years as saving up two years of cash.
