I really REALLY wanted this model. But the $700 price tag would have been harsh even if I Wasn't unemployed at the time. The TMP era 1701 (no bloody A B C or D) is my favorite starship of all time, and this would have commanded some attention in the house.

I do have an un-assembled Bandai 850th scale model that was lovely (I had one previously, until a cat knocked it off its shelf and ruined it) but I swore I'd never build the model until I found a permanent home.
