Llano River Valley, near Junction, Texas (3725x384)

People ask me why I take pictures with my truck in them. It's cause she's as much of a traveler as I am. For the last 16 years, she's been pretty much everywhere I have, and she deserves to be in the pics as much as anyone. :)

She's also much more photogenic.

As the 21st century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction. A dumbing down. How did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species.

The first lines of Idiocracy...and FINALLY....someone who said what I always thought....

I was expecing to send for my stuff in Texas in, say, six months. Three at the quickest.

My mother isn't one to wait - she's coming up NEXT MONDAY with EVERYTHING.

Holy crap!

And at the end of the day, I had more things happen to me, than things I could put away.

Not happy about that.

So much left to do, and nothing got done today.
