Mar. 30th, 2011 05:25 pmMore story snippets are bubbling up in my head about what I'm starting to call "The Military Story."
It revolves around this woman who is drafted into the military, and permanent markings or cosmetic changes are done to her (as identification you cant lose).
During a battle, however, her battalion is destroyed and she is forcibly sent to a remote corner of the enemy empire/country/whatever, pressed into service.
Its more of a story about being alone in a society of your enemies. The cosmetic changes (not sure what yet) let everyone around her know shes one of "them." While at the same time, in order to survive, shes defending these unhappy-with-her city folk from a third empire.
The two rival generals would also fit this story. Wonder if this could be molded into the Manpower story....
