Jenn, get everything ready BEFORE work. untangle your headphones, put your bag in one spot, walk out that door at 9:44. You're walking up in time, but your sleep drunkeness keeps shooting you way past 9:44, and you can't walk to work if you leave before 9:44.

Also, I want Hot and Sour Soup now.

Dear troublesome Linux callers: I know Linux, we have Linux clients, and my troubleshooting works. Let's try and fix it before dismissing my methods out of hand. But if your troubleshooting methods are much greater than "open the web browser and click a button" I'd love to hear them, cause that would have fixed the problem.

Having a bad day. Nothing major, but I'm making a ton of little screwups today, all of which are getting more attention than they deserve.

The emotional battle for today is lost. Now its just a holding action.

Pancakes. FOR SCIENCE.

The last couple of weeks, the fuzzyheadedness and forgetfulness was getting worse every day around 3PM.
At first, I thought maybe it was the lower blood sugar over all.  Then after realizing it wasnt really THAT low throughout the day, I checked it everytime I got fuzzy.  Low 80s.  While checking I noticed I was rocksolid the whole time, never above 99, never below 83.

One day, when things got fuzzy, I decided to eat a bag of Doritos.  Fuzziness gone.  Blood sugar peaked at 92.  usually its MUCH higher after chips.

I decided to eat a little better than I usually did.  Again, I never got above 99.  And that when I decided to max out the meter with a pancake breakfast.

Before breakfast: 82

After two eggs, two bacon, hashbrowns, French toast, and a pancake with maple syrup drizzled over most of it? 112.  And a stomachache.

Metformin and overnight insulin seem to be working fine at keeping me balanced no matter what I throw at it.  In fact, as per my doctor, lower than she'd like (she wants me at 90 waking up).  The fuzzyheadedness is also a sign it might be too low.  Need to talk to my doctor about that next time I see her.

So, where do I go from here?

Ive lost 70 pounds.  The fishfood diet is boring, but working amazingly well.  And as long as I get what I want on the weekends I'm okay with five days of boring.  I may start being a little more daring in snack choices - keeping to my numbers, but eating non-sugar-free chocolates instead of sugar free ones or having (the occasional) ice cream.

But VERY carefully.  I once said I'd never be over 300 again.  I've amended that to 275.  Soon I may be amending that to 250 if I can get below that.  Just gotta keep on keepin' on.
