I think starting next week I'll be going back on a regular gaming/arting/writing schedule again. The election strangled my creative drive, but I think it's recovering.

I met John Glenn once. Back in the early 80s, he was holding a Republican presidential rally in Lubbock at the airport for whatever reason. We were flying out of Lubbock back home and caught sight of the rally. My parents knew who he was, and that I was fascinated by space and they asked if I could meet him.

The Republicans turned it into a Press opportunity. My parents were not happy about Republican showing off a Mexican kid who liked Glenn, but allowed it anyways. I later horrified my parents later saying I'd vote for him.

I was nine. I didn't know of politics yet. All I knew was I got to meet an actual astronaut. It's still one of my fondest memories.
