The 2017 One Sentence Year in Review:

At the beginning of 2016, I'd made a very specific resolution: The Comics Would Be My Second Job. From January to November 2016, I actually kept it going for a really long time.

Then the election happened. The the job stress went through the roof with a new position. Then Marisa died. The I lost the job post. And so so so much more.

After all that, I was emotionally devastated, and (other than few spurts of work on Genevieve) creatively dead. I tried to restart the comics in July, and failed. Tried again in September, and failed. About the only thing going for me was the Zelda gaming streams, and those were just big escapes for me.

I've been thinking about this seriously for a month now, of trying to jump start the "Second Job Initiative." After realizing I drew a grand total of TWO comics this year, I need to reboot the Second Job thing.

So, for my first post of 2018, allow me to say that the comics will be coming back (for real this time), along with the comic streams (and the occasional game stream). I'm aiming for one comic a week, but, let's be serious, it'll likely be two a month. But I'm aiming for one a week. More if possible. And a finished rough draft of Genevieve by this time next year.

Wish me luck, all. It's gonna be rough, it may take time, but it's gonna happen.
