30 Questions for Pride Month, Day 2: How did you feel when you first heard of another trans person?

It was Caroline Cossey on Donahue. I remember looking at her and saying "Wow, it's possible. That could be me." She really made me feel that transition wasn't just possible, but could also be successful.

Honestly, I actually don't mind seeing corporation using pride colors. But I see it more as a societal acceptance thing than an actual corporate message.

They've always pandered to the LGBT crowd. I remember going to gay clubs in the 90s, and seeing all the gay themed neon signage for beers there. It's just safe enough to do it outside the clubs now. And that's more a societal thing than a corporate thing.

It's still all just marketing. But we're accepted enough to market to in public now.
