Honestly, no. This will probably sound wierd, but I didn't have an understanding of what gender was. I knew there were girls, and there were boys, but didn't have an understanding of how that affected me. It wasn't until just before puberty that I suddenly realized that the path my body was on was different of those girls that I began to understand what gender was. And that I was on the very wrong path.
It's funny, now looking back at my childhood. I really didn't have the understanding that gender was a THING. I just figured that one day, I'd be a girl (whatever that meant) like them one day. Somehow.
Hard to think how something so obvious was so oblivious to me for so long.
