Okay, the training is officially over. Tomorrow we "Shadow" people on the phone lines and then we go online. Considering they want us on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, I'm ASSUMING they want us to have Wednesday and Thursday off. If not, well, at least I'll get 16 hours of overtime.
I still don't like the job. I'll still do it. But I don't like all the hoops we need to jump through over and over and over again.
What was really annoying, though, was the Cattle Call this was. Sure, being an M2F TS doesn't make me a picture of innocence in all this, but we had LOTS of people who just weren't...there. Lots of people who would ask the SAME question, several times, after the instructor had JUST finished ("And by clicking X, you get to the Knowledge Base" "I have a question...by clicking X, yuo get to the knowledge base?"). Another was the Semantics God, who argued every other word ("And so copy and Delete will move your account to another machine" "Then it should say 'Move.' That's false advertising and by saying Move, I think we're doing a disservice to the customer. You will change that, won't you? 'Cause I'm serious.") And then I sat next to Jabberjaw...words cannot DESCRIBE the level of THROTTLE YOUR THROAT I was seething at this woman. This woman would interrupt the instructor to let the class know she made a cake. She told me about the friend chicken she made this morning being so good at least 10 times. She was bringing up questions from subject HOURS ago, and constantly in NEED to be jabbering every second.
What's worse was the woman on the otherside of her from me was the SAME way.
However, there were good things out of this. (1) This is gonna be an easy assignment as long as I just say everything they want me to say. (2) I get to be female. And that #2 is the best part of all this. Through the whole training, NO ONE let on that I was anything but female...and that just makes me feel wonderful.
It's the waist cincher that Jenni gave me that makes all the difference. Honestly. Allison' where ever you are, you were right - it's the waist and the breasts. Everything else don't matter.
I didn't think the waist cincher was doing anything until just before I left training. I had gone to the bathroom, and we were all filing out to go home. I realized I could take the cincher off there before I made the 40 mile trip home.
As soon as I took it off, that dress got two sizes tighter. Ouch.
Kinko's has not called back. Dean will most likely let me stay there.
Things aren't really looking up...just a bit diagonal....
