Rumors of an Alamo City (San Antonio) connection to Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center that left an estimated 5,000 dead have sparked a flurry of reports widely aired on TV and radio new shows, but there is little official confirmation of any connection.

Their baggage bore tags of an airline flight from Newark, N.J., to San Antonio on Tuesday, the same morning that teams of hijackers commandeered four airliners and crashed three of them into buildings in New York and Washington. The flight was diverted to St. Louis, where the men caught an Amtrak train bound for San Antonio, an FBI spokeswoman said.
Meanwhile, KENS 5 television is reporting that sources say a 34-year-old San Antonio radiologist wanted by the FBI for questioning has been found and moved to New York by federal authorities as they explore a possible connection to Tuesday's attacks.

Among them are two men detained at an Amtrak station in Fort Worth, Texas. They were interviewed by FBI agents, taken into custody and flown to New York.
The two boarded a flight Tuesday morning in Newark, N.J. (According to CNN news, to San Antonio), as the four hijackings were under way, said a law enforcement source, speaking on condition of anonymity. The plane was grounded in St. Louis (CNN reports this as Fort Worth) as the FAA halted all air traffic; the men then boarded an Amtrak train bound for Texas (to San Antonio, according to CNN).
They were taken off during a routine drug search Wednesday night. Although no drugs were found, the men had box-cutting knives, authorities said, and also carried about $5,000 in cash, according to a federal official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
