Here's an AWFW side project involving FH&C that's been rattling in my head for two weeks straight. it's being posted here because (1) Keenspace is STILL down, and (2) It's a pretty rough draft made by pounding on the kayeboard for three hours straight.
It beats wasting several hours staring at the monitor trying to find somethign to amuse me.

PANEL 1 - JOHANN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT - DAY
An establishing shot of the school, with a parking lot in front.
Of notice are two small specks, one walking in from the background
and another in the foreground by his car. This is CARL and he's
19.
CARL
HEY, HOPE! HOPE!
PANEL 2 - HOPE looks up from her school work. She seems to have a look of
weariness to her. That her day has been spent fighting private
inner demons. She is 18.
CARL
HOPE!
PANEL 3 - Two shot of Carl and Hope. Carl is a rather rugged individual, a
large muscular man with longish hair and muscles to die for. He
smiles at her, affectionately. Hope, putting on a brave face,
smiles weakly.
CARL
Hey, you alright? You
look like you need a
cigarette.
HOPE
Oh, it's nothing.
PANEL 4 - Hope looks around rather worriedly, and definately looks like she's
having a nicotine fit of some kind.
HOPE
I'm just looking for my
sisters. Have you seen
them anywhere?
CARL
Not today, no.
PANEL 5 - CHARITY and FAITH walk into the parking lot, both look weary as well
but not nearly as bad as Hope, and, if anything look a bit relieved
to find her, even if she's across the lot. Faith and Charity are
wearing the exact same clothes as Hope.
CARL
(off panel)
I'm sure they'll turn up.
PANEL 6 - Two shot, HOPE and CARL in front of his car. She's antsy, he's
a bit nervous.
CARL
Hey...I was wondering.
Are you doing anything
tonight? They cancelled
practice, and I know this
great Italian place down
the street.
PANEL 7 - Faith and Charity approach, but, seeing Hope in an conversation,
casually hold each other back with an outstretched arm.
HOPE
I don't know...I'd have
to talk it over with my
sisters. But...
CARL
(off panel)
Oh, but we'd have such a
good time. I promise to
make it worth your while.
PANEL 8 - Hope thinks about this, conflicted.
CARL
Just the two of us. Me
and you. Maybe a movie
if there's something
good?
PANEL 9 - Hope's weariness begins to break a bit, and she smiles honestly for
the first time.
HOPE
Allright. Why not. Just
you and me.
(beat)
No sisters. Just you and
me.
PANEL 10 - Faith and Charity stand idly nearby waiting for Hope to finish
talking to Carl.
CARL
GREAT! Meet me at
Brother's tonight, 7PM!
PANEL 11 - Carl gets in his pick-up. Hope smiles and waves at him.
HOPE
See ya!
PANEL 12 - Hope turns to see Faith and Charity.
PANEL 13 - For once, Hope looks relieved, like a smoker having that first
cigarette in a week.
HOPE
You're here! Thank
goodness, I was going
crazy.
PANEL 14 - Faith and Charity suddenly take on Hope's look of relief.
PANEL 15 - Hope takes on Faith and Charities posture, and all three walk
towards their car.
PANEL 16 - THE SCLAREA HOUSEHOLD - EVENING
A nice little slice of suburbia housing.
CHARITY AND FAITH
You're WHAT?!
PANEL 17 - We're in a teenaged girls bedroom. The room looks like only one
person lives in it. And that one person is Faith, Hope and
Charity. Three shot of the girls. Charity is in one corner of the
room, Faith is in another, both in the bakground. Hope is facing
them with her back to us, in foreground.
HOPE
...going on a date.
PANEL 18 - Charity, annoyed, tries to talk sense into Hope. Faith in the
background has the same annoyed look.
CHARITY
We can't go on a date!
FAITH
Faith and I already had
plans for this evening.
PANEL 19 - Three shot of the girls, again. Hope has the same annoyed look on
her face as her sisters.
HOPE
You weren't invited
anyway!
(beat)
Carl invited only me!
PANEL 20 - Charity sits on the floor, back to the wall in a heap. Faith
stands, in the same pose as Hope.
CHARITY
You know better than to
go anywhere without us.
We've TRIED that already.
(beat)
All I was going to do was
go buy groceries for Mom.
Ten minutes later I was
running back home to you
two.
PANEL 21 - Faith and Hope sit on the bed in the same pose, although they are
as far away from each other on the bed as possible.
FAITH
And you remember what
happened to us, right?
(beat)
All we could think about
was going to the store to
find Charity.
HOPE
But we can't be bound to
each other for the rest
of our lives!
PANEL 22 - Charity sits on the bed next to Hope, Faith inches closer to Hope.
The three speak in unison:
FAITH, HOPE
AND CHARITY
We are ONE, sister. It's
just how it is.
PANEL 23 - Faith and Charity stand, facing Hope on the bed.
FAITH AND CHARITY
You need to call Carl and
cancel the date. We'll
be downstairs so that we
don't distract you.
PANEL 24 - Hope sits on the bed. She doesn't move.
PANEL 25 - Pull back from Panel 24 to see Faith and Charity closing the door
to her room.
PANEL 26 - Same as Panel 24. We hear the sound effect of a DOOR CLOSING.
PANEL 27 - Same as Panel 24, but Hope looks up with a smile.
PANEL 28 - Close up of Hope's lips as Hope puts on lipstick.
PANEL 29 - Close up of Hope's left ear as Hope puts on an earring.
PANEL 30 - Close up of Hope's left foot as she pulls on dark stockings.
PANEL 31 - A full shot of Hope in an full length mirror. She is dressed to
the nines, and cleaned up real good. Miniskirt, heels, blouse.
The whole nine yards.
HOPE
I'm AM going on this
date. And I'm AMD going
to look great.
PANEL 32 - Hope reaches for the door, and opens it.
PANEL 33 - The door opens revealing FAITH and CHARITY. Dressed EXACTLY like
Hope right down to the earrings. The only thing they're not
wearing is Hope's smile. As a matter of fact, they're PISSED.
FAITH AND CHARITY
How the HELL did you do
that?
HOPE
(honestly
unknowing)
Do what?
PANEL 34 - Faith and Charity both confront Hope, who stands back, trying to
maintain her individuality.
FAITH AND CHARITY
We figured you were up to
something when we got the
urge to change our
clothes.
(beat)
Faith absolutely hates
wearing heels, and now
she can't take them off!
PANEL 35 - Hope begins to realize something just happened here.
FAITH AND CHARITY
We tried to fight you,
but we couldn't. And now
here we are, dressed for
a date wether we like it
or not!
(beat)
HOW DID YOU DO THAT?
PANEL 36 - Hope has a big smile on her face.
HOPE
I...I...don't know. But
I've got an idea.
FAITH AND CHARITY
(shouting)
AN IDEA?! YOU KNOW
EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID! WE
CAN SENSE IT AND--
PANEL 37 - Faith and Charity seem "zapped" into a zombie-like state.
HOPE
I want you to stop
shouting at me. NOW.
PANEL 38 - Faith and Charity seem dazed as Hope walks past them.
HOPE
Now if you dont' mind,
I have a date to go on.
PANEL 39 - Faith and Charity look at each other.
FAITH AND CHARITY
How'd she stop us
shouting?
PANEL 40 - Faith and Charity catch up to a very smug looking Hope.
FAITH AND CHARITY
Hope! You still can't go
on this date alone.
(beat)
You know as well as I do
that you won't be able to
be without us for more
than a few minutes.
PANEL 41 - Hope turns to them, maintaining her distance, thoughtful.
HOPE
I think I can, now. But
let's play it safe. You
can come along with me.
PANEL 42 - Faith and Charity look at each other puzzled.
PANEL 43 - Faith and Charity look back at her annoyed.
FAITH AND CHARITY
WE HAD PLANS!
PANEL 44 - Pull back to show all three in their date attire.
HOPE
You're dressed for it.
(beat)
Besides...
PANEL 45 - Closeup of Hope's eyes, demanding.
HOPE
I want you to come along.
NOW.
PANEL 47 - Faith and Charity seem "zapped" into a zombie-like state, yet again.
PANEL 48 - Faith and Charity, dazed, follow Hope as she makes her way to the
door.
HOPE
We'll be back in a bit,
Mom!
MOM
(off panel)
Have a nice time, and
remember your pepper
spray!
PANEL 49 - BROTHER'S PIZZA - NIGHT
It's a nice little pizza parlor, bordering on the line of gourmet
food and cheap prices. It's more of a hangout than a restaurant.
But right now it's pretty empty. The three speak in unison as they
stand in the doorway.
FAITH, HOPE
AND CHARITY
I think we overdressed.
PANEL 50 - Hope turns to her sisters. Faith and Charity are mad, but there
isn't much they can do to stop Hope anymore.
HOPE
Okay. I want to have the
evening to myself,
without either one of you
trying to distract me
into one-ness.
(beat)
I want you two to sit in
a corner table as far
away from me as possible.
(beat)
NOW.
PANEL 51 - Same as 49, only FAITH and CHARITY are sitting in a corner table,
Hope is across the room alone.
PANEL 52 - Hope sits alone.
HOPE
I did it. I'm myself!
(beat)
I'm finally independent!
PANEL 53 - Hope looks up.
CARL
(off panel)
Is this seat taken?
HOPE
Carl!
PANEL 54 - Carl sits at the table as a waiter, ZAC, walks up.
ZAC
Are you ready to order?
CARL
The usual, Zac.
HOPE
I'd like the Alfredo
noodles, please.
PANEL 55 - Pull back. Faith and Charity are looking at Hope and Carl.
FAITH AND CHARITY
So she's independent now
and we're dragged along
for the ride.
(beat)
Somehow I didn't think we'd
end up like this.
PANEL 56 - Close up on Charity, obviously saddened.
CHARITY
I didn't expect to go
from being slaved to each
other to being slaved to
a master.
(beat)
I've lost my appetite.
PANEL 57 - Same as 56, reverse angle, but on Faith.
FAITH
I hate wearing heels. I
wish Hope would take hers
off so I could relax my
feet.
(beat)
I've lost my appetite.
PANEL 58 - Same as Panel 55, but Zac has walked up to them for their order.
ZAC
Are you ready to order?
FAITH AND CHARITY
I'd like the Alfredo
noodles, please.
PANEL 59 - Same as Panel 49.
FAITH AND CHARITY
(whispering to
themselves)
Dammit.
PANEL 60 - A Clock on the wall says 7:15pm
PANEL 61 - Pull back to reveal Faith and Charity, dejectedly picking at their
food. The clock now reads 7:45pm
PANEL 62 - Faith looks over Hope as she pulls her fork up to her mouth. Hope
is doing the EXACT same motion.
PANEL 63 - Faith looks over to Charity and all three are now in frame.
They're ALL holding their forks in the exact same position.
FAITH
Charity. Look at Hope.
Take a bite.
PANEL 64 - The two raise their forks to take a bite. So does Hope.
PANEL 65 - The same as Panel 64. The two lower their forks. So does Hope.
PANEL 66 - The same as Panel 64. The two raise their forks. So does Hope.
PANEL 67 - Two shot of Faith and Charity. The two girls brighten up.
FAITH AND CHARITY
She's NOT independent!
PANEL 68 - Charity has renewed vigor.
CHARITY
So. How did she make us
dress like this? And
how do we stop her from
dragging us wherever she
wants to go?
PANEL 69 - Reverse angle on Faith. Faith has renewed vigor.
FAITH
Well...let's see. When
we're together, it's hard
to act independently.
But we can't stay away
from each other for long.
PANEL 70 - Two shot of the girls, Hope in the background laughing and having
a good time with Carl.
CHARITY
So she made the decision
to go on the date while
she was more independent.
(beat)
She really really wanted
to go, too.
PANEL 71 - Close up of Hope, having fun.
FAITH
Maybe she wanted to go
so much, and was JUST
independent enough to
will us to go along?
PANEL 72 - Close up of Carl, enjoying his time with Hope.
CHARITY
And because we're chained
to each other, we
couldn't stop her will to
go on the date ended up
along for the ride!
PANEL 73 - Two shot of Faith and Charity, smiling.
CHARITY AND FAITH
(mischeviously)
I bet it works both ways.
PANEL 74 - Close on Faith, smiling.
FAITH
Wanna give it a try?
PANEL 75 - Close on Charity, smiling.
CHARITY
Way ahead of you.
PANEL 76 - The two hold hands across the table, and concentrate.
PANEL 77 - Same as 76
PANEL 78 - Same as 76
FAITH AND CHARITY
NOW.
PANEL 79 - Two shot of Hope and Carl, having a good time. Hope still has a
half a plate of noodles, and Carl has mostly finished his manicotti
shells.
HOPE
That's hilarious!
(beat)
I haven't had this much
of a good time in a LONG
time.
PANEL 80 - Close up of Hope's plate of noodles. One hand is picking up the
plate.
HOPE
Usually, I can never get
out of the house without
my sisters...
PANEL 81 - Hope uses her other hand to pull her blouse collar open. She's
still has a content look on her face.
HOPE
...but for the first time
in a long time, I really
feel like my own person.
PANEL 82 - Hope, looks down and notices she's pouring her noodles down her
blouse. She's not so much shocked as she seems to be dazed a bit.
CARL
Hope?
PANEL 83 - Hope sits at her table across from Carl, and she's almost catatonic
as her hands put her plate back down on the table.
CARL
Hope? You okay?
PANEL 84 - Overhead shot as Hope stands up, still dazed and confused.
HOPE
I...
(beat)
I...
(beat)
I gotta go.
PANEL 85 - Carl stands stupefied as Hope walks off.
CARL
Hope? You okay?
PANEL 86 - Carl stands alone.
CARL
Hope?
PANEL 87 - INT - THE SCLAREA TRUCK - NIGHT
Hope sits in the backseat alone, unable to move.
PANEL 88 - Hope sits in the backseat alone. Faith and Charity's heads pop
into the car via the open backseat windows.
FAITH AND CHARITY
When we get home, we're
going to have a nice long
talk about our new little
gift.
PANEL 89 - The Truck drives off.
