MONDAY
Pretty uneventful day. Woke up to three Emails, one from Dean saying "What the hell was THAT?" "Hey, you got a job call" and "What do those Chinese characters mean on my dry erase board."
The first, well, that was a long letter. The second, I replied with "Thanks" and the third was "Happiness."
I called the interviewer who was RUDE AS HELL. Asshole. Thankfully, though, he's in the (281) area code and won't be my interviewer. What worries me though, is he said that "I left Dell" instead of being "Dell Laid Me Off." There are stories about how Dell has been saying that to a LOT of the laid off employees. I really hope I'm not one of them.
I then went out to celebrate my job interview (yeah, they're so few and far between I celebrate the interviews) with a Fuddruckers Hamburger (GODS, Having money is fun).
Most of the day was spent catching up on the last four days (I've been really quiet with my friends list, that will change soon).
About 9PM, Dean called me. It was a long talk, where I definately finally cleared the air between us. What happened, what I said, why I said it and so on.
It was a good talk, and we are still friends. If you can believe that. :)
I told my dad about the interview, who seemed VERY wary. REally off kilter. When I told him about the problems that I might be having with Dell, he sure sounded like I had lied to him and had really quit, instead of getting laid off.
Why is it so hard for people to think I said "Take this job and shove it?" I was watching MOVIES at work. I was talking on AIM at work. I was playing VIDEO GAMES at work. And the were telling me "Good job!" You think I wanna leave that?
Went to bed angry.
TUESDAY
Gathered up everything and, to my horror, my interview outfit was missing from my boxes of clothes. I managed to put together a pretty good outfit, but it wasn't really professional. I called up Dean who I thought might still have had one of my dresses (he had one, but not the one I wanted). I now think I may have brought it home to be washed and that someone MAY have gotten rid of it.
::grumble::
The drive up was made with the NEW Cowboy Bebop MP3 CD, which played perfectly. :)
Once I got here (mighty late) Erin asked me to stay an extra day to take care of Sean on Thursday. No problem!
And they surprised the heck outta me. Over dinner, while I was gone, they were discussing me staying here once I got the job. The plan: Keep me here while I get the job. Once I have a few paychecks under my wing, we work towards a day when I move out. In the meantime, I'd help out around the house. And I know one thing I can immediately help with: FOOD. I like cooking it, and they lke eating it.
Dean has also asked me that if "Things don't work out" with a certain You Know Who, he'd like for me to room with him again. We are very compatible, and, as friends, would prolly get along better. :)
Now all I need to do is get a goddammed job and I can work on the first of my necessities: MEDICATION (I envy you Canadians....)
It's actually nice to feel cared about some days. :)
