Finally got in touch with my old manager. Turns out all EMail support is in India now, and Dell Talk support (basically support via IM) is all they do now. He asked me when I would go "Blue Badge" (Dell code for get hired), which I'm hoping was a clue-in of "Get hired, come back to here." But we had a good talk.
Saturday
I went to get the truck looked at. It doesn't look good. Either the main head gasket is blown, or the engine block is cracked. Or both. Turns out that when Dad fixed the freeze plugs in the pickup, he replaced all my antifreeze with water. And then we had a hard freeze. CRACK. $2500 to fix, or $1800 to rebuild the engine like they did in San Antonio. I can't afford this. Dad can't afford it neither. Together we can't afford it. So I think I'm going to turn my Tip Jar into a "Save Jenn's Truck" fund.
Why is it whenever I come into money, something swipes it all away in one blow?
I did finish AWFW and CS...but again, both are flat colored. It took a LOT longer to color them than I thought it would.
Sunday
AWFW and Closetspace are updated. They are now being updated weekly on Sundays. The $100 my dad sent for the estimate (they didn't charge) went to groceries. Mmmmmmm...groceries. And Indian food. And vietnamese food. Mmmmmmmmmm.....I pencilled in next week's CS and two weeks from now AWFW. The AWFW story has taken a turn I didn't expect. But makes sense in the long run. Andrea's original mission of "Learning to shepherd, and not to lead" has changed to "Escape from the Shadow Factory." This story is starting to freak even ME out.
