JENN - Actually, now that I think about it, you're right - Poison Ivy doesn't belong in the Gotham World. Better yet, let's give her her own series. ;) I'd watch.
NATHAN_R - Tell me more about a Poison Ivy series. Would she be a villain or a heroine? Or would people just read her differently depending on how much they wanted to kill off all humanity and overgrow the planet with vegetation? :)
JENN - If I was a Television Producer, and if I had sway in the Industry, I'd pitch the Poison Ivy series like this:

JENN - If I was a Television Producer, and if I had sway in the Industry, I'd pitch the Poison Ivy series like this:
We have her origin, a lot like the Flash. She's a botanist/biologist who gets a bunch of chemicals poured on her and becomes Mother Nature itself. We also have an antagonist, a ne'er do well type. A Bad Cop, or an overzealous politician. MAybe even an over concerned citizen. As the series progressed, Poison Ivy, who uses her real name during these episodes, actually helps, doing the ecology good, and helping society in general. However, our antagonist sees her as a possible terrorist. Someone who could do great damage if he doesn't stop her before she realizes it. As the series goes along, Ivy realizes that at times, society is working perpendicular to her aims of bringing society and nature together. She realizes that human kind is hindering her ability to help. OVer the course of a few episodes, she becomes "The Bad Cop" where she's now risking humans in order to forcefully bring about her vision of utopia. Because of Ivy's twisting personality, out antagonist is slowly becoming a protagonist, seeing his/her visions of an evil Ivy coming true. Eventually, the series would reverse. Ivy would take on the name Poison Ivy, and declare the Human Race Null and Void. Our antagonist would then be the primary protagonist, chasing her around the globe, trying to wake up the world to the danger that "Redhead in the leotards" really is.
Of course, I can't have any blacks and whites in my story, so Evil Ivy's works would seem to be beneficial in the long run (as long as humans sat down and shut up about their place in the world) and our protagonist would definitely be the Dirty Cop who is Tired of Not Being Taken Seriously.
This series would never get made in America. A primary evildoer who is female without a female protagonist? Wouldn't be done. No clearly defined Good/Bad guys. Characters who evolve, versus being steady-state. And they don't go to high school. At least Ivy is wearing tights - that's a point in her favor according to TeeVee executives.
