I'm working on trying to write this livejournal entry with Lynx, so if it's formatted really wierd, blame the livejournal creators and Lynx, and not my l33+ h4x0r HTML skills
I took only 29 calls yestersday, and once I got into the vibe, it all worked out for me, just fine. Almost too fine. People noticed that my calls were just way too short, and I was helping way too much...so I became a de-facto mentor. I was taking calls, AND diagnosing problems for my fellow neighbors. I hope someone saw that, because I'm not a big fan of phone work (I can only handle "You don't sound like a Jennifer" so many times).
Some memorable calls included the "We don't read that stuff (The required hardware and disclaimers), so it doesn't count" call, and the "Wanna hear my Serta talking sheep? Can I paint my XBox? Do you sell Shampoo?"
There is only one mentor, though, who actually seems to take the time to make sure the preson their talking to understands what is being said. The rest are all very much from the school of "Now! Now! Now! Let me do it. ::grab phone::"
Thankfully, I haven't needed their service but once. And that one time, that whole NOW NOW attitude backired when I came up with the solution in front of her.
I hope she noticed that.
My paycheck was not sent out at all. My social security number is not in their system. I've talked to an adeccco person about it. I'd better get it soon. These guys have a bad habit of dicking me around.
