WEDNESDAY
I ordered a new internet provider. I'm off of AOL, thank goodness, and on a system called Realtime, which has numbers all over Texas. Thank goodness, I have standard old PPP TCP/IP access to the internet. AOL is a good system, but it's horrid when it comes to running other TCP/IP programs through it. And I can't dial in on my dreamcast when I need to.

Talk about your really bad days. They put me on hardware and the calls started....and never stopped. Not counting my Law Given Breaks and Law Given Lunch, I started my day at 3:15 PM and didn't break until about 10:45 PM. And even then, it was only maybe a few seconds between calls. That took the wind out of me, and I began to get the sinking feeling I did at Kinko's. The idea that if for some reason I screwed up, I would be dragged along the rest of the day with no respite. And I screwed up. I was so haggard by the end of the day I KNOW I screwed up. A lot.

Thankfully the day DID end at 12:15 (Note to self: That makes 8.25 HOURS) I came back home, packed up my Dreamcast (Still the best thingy for Internet Browsing away from a computer) and drove home.

On my way down, I got a soda at a convenience store and saw another M2F tranny. If any of you out there are reading this...do ourselves a favor: KNOW YOUR LIMITS. And learn to spell your names right, dammit.

Got in, fell asleep.

THURSDAY
I say a lot of things about my mom. But I like to give her credit, where credit is due: She makes one helluva Thanksgiving spread. Things I need to get from her is her recipe for Cheesy Potato Casserole with Corn Flakes, and her Only On Thanksgiving Fruit Salad.

Afterwards, everone sorta went their own way...but we all started converging back around 7PM. My uncle was there and my dad and mom watching the game. My Uncle wanted to watch Star Wars Episode I afterwards, and my mother (who is a huge Trekkie on top of a...what would you call them? Warsies?) wanted to see it too. We managed to get everyone, including my dad to watch it.

We will make a date to see my copy of Episode II in the near future.. :)

My dad got the movie bug in me. he loves movies and would take me to see them with him, no matter what the subject matter. He only took me to the Star Wars movies because I wanted to see them...he never paid attention. HJe doesn't like science fiction. I managed to convince him that Sci-Fi is simply Westerns in outerspace, and he began to SLOWLY get into Star Trek. I've addicted him to Star Wars with the Phantom Menace (which I think is the weakest of the five movies.

Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks and count your blessing. I'm thankful to my friend, online and off, who have helped me at my worst. I'm thankful to my "partner," (I need a better word for this goddess/godform/familiar/entity/thingy who I'm working with) who is working to make things right. I'm thankful that for the first time in a long time, things are moving in a right direction.

FRIDAY
Steph and I didn't get together - she triple booked her day. :) I went out, and found a cheapie Dreamcast keyboard for my Portable Internet Thingy. And then I left early. I began dreading Saturday and wanted to do something fun before the weekend ended. I got into Austin, deposited my paycheck and got SUSHI. SUSHI SUSHI SUSHI.

.............sushi.............

Dean came home, and we went grocery shopping because I had an EXCELLENT idea for a present. ::hee hee:: If I'm lucky, I can finish it in a week. Hee hee....

I go to work tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it...but...well...it's cash.
