dolariNews and notes from yesterday:
1) Yesterday must have been Dell Customer Appreciation Day and everyone got a free ounce of crack before calling in. That's the only way I can explain my whole team's calls yesterday.
2) Update on the Edited System Exchange. I talked with the guy who cancelled my dispatch. I asked him WHY it was cancelled when HE was the one who approved it. My only response? "Approved and dispatched." And then a prompt sign off from the internal Instant Messenger.
3) Someone is going through my dispatches and changing them. Another system exchange went from a New Computer to a Used computer. We know who did it, but there were NO notes as to why. Another managed to change a motherboard to a hard drive, different person, no notes. I'm finding this stuff out only because I'm getting the repeat dispatch hit for it.
4) Another system exchange keeps coming back with "Illegal ORder Processed" and for me to reply to accpt responsibility for it. I haven't replied simply because I have no idea what the production code is. I asked around, no one could figure it out, I asked the Point of Contact who never replied...and every two hours I get another automated "Please take responsibility for this."
5) Maybe it's ther paranoia instilled in my by a year and a hlaf of unemployment, and my shabby treatment by Harte Hanks, but I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being set up for a fall. What with people changing my dispatches behind my back, people refusing to let me in on production codes before I take responsibility for them, a supervisor who makes it obvious I'm a hinderance to him.
This is not your usual "I hate my job blues." This is more of a "They're all out to get me thing" and at least one "I don't like her lifestyle" problem (The latter being expressed in non-HR-complainable-ways).
I don't like thinking they're out to get me, simply because I was once pretty irrational and thought everyone really WAS out to get me for a few years there. That's a pretty scary world to live in.
I think I'll be looking for a new job. I'd like to leave semi-gracefully before I'm fired.
