I haven't had a more enjoyable New Years in years.

In 99/2000, I rang in the New Year in Pensylvania, on Old Main Lawn. I really enjoyed hearing Old Main ring out the Penn State fightsong, and when the clock chimed out 12, the fireworks exploded. It was just icing on the cake when one firework went a little off course and plowed right into the audience.

2000/2001 was fun, but an ice storm kept us in most of the evening. It was an enjoyable night home, but austin didn't have anything like State College's First Night, and I missed that.

2001/2002 was a secial case, but was very very very melancholy for me. My world had collapsed and I was doing ANYTHING to make it better.

2002/2003 was a good one, but the morning aftre shennanigans PISSED ME OFF. I decided on my 2003/2004 plans in the sleep y haze 80 mile drive I made that day.

Today, I spent a nice quiet New Years at home. My project was to have an enjoyable last night and have it be something that _I_ wanted it to be. I made a special New Years dinner (Burgers and Hotwings! Cake!), and while I planned to watch the Adult Swim New Years, I got sucked into the Iron Chef New Years special.

Some people may think it's sad that I watched TV marathons for New Years, but I was ecstatic. I had the biggest smile on my face for most of night, and rang in the new year doing what I wanted: I drew.

And that's all that really matters, right? Ring it in happy. :)

Spent most of the evening talking with Alison and reminicising about everything. Ah, the trip back to the late 90s....

I have high hopes for 2004. I think it'll rock.

2005 is right around the corner. I wonder how fast we can build Autobot City. :)

I love Austin Music Network's morning show. It's a kids show, but it's not Music Corporate America Picked For You. It music your older brother wanted you to hear. :) They just played a Hanson video, sure, but they followed it up with Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds pulled right from the Yellow submarine movie. Followed by "We are the Cartoon Heroes" a wierd video about heroes rescuing Earth from Giant Octopi.

I love Austin.
