Mar. 13th, 2004 09:40 pmI just realized it's WAY past my bedtime. Bad thing about these hours is I feel like I'm just getting warmed up and it's time for bed. :P
Paycheck madness continues: I just bought a nice new DVD +/- R/RW and a stack of DVD+RW after reading that the Playstation can read those discs. Just a hint - they don't. :) They read DVD+R fine, but not DVD+RW.
Wierd thing is, my 2002 DVD drive can't read the DVD+RW format. But my very old 1997 DVD drive can with a little popping and grunting.
Oh, well, I never really PLANNED to make Movie DVDs with these discs, but to make Huge Repositories of DivX movies from them. So, just as a test, I gathered up the Big O DivX movies I encoded (about 5 CDs) and threw them on a DVD.
Holy cow.
13 episodes of Big O and it only uses HALF the DVD.
Mind you, they're compressed juuuuuuuust to the point where they start to pixel out, but they're still better than VHS.
Things left to buy on this paycheck: Groceries. New Tire. (And still have cash left over!)
Next paycheck: XCard so I can output DivX to TV and...well...another tire. :)
Oooh - I'm the Site of the Moment! http://www.topsitelists.com/start/EmDogVI/
